In the last few months we have introduced a new system in which it is a practice that the user (patients relative/friend) posts a request for blood on our website, each user is given a request id number using which he/she can access the database of the donors. The procedure requests the user to call the donor, give the feedback through the website and only after the feedback is selected can the user get another donor.
However it has come to our notice that many people are not utilizing this facility properly. Instead of calling the donors they are just coping the donors contact details giving wrong feedback and move ahead. To avoid this misuse coming January 2009 we will ask the patients relative to enter your(donor`s) -Date of Birth- . So we request you donors to give your Date of Birth when a patients relative contacts you for blood donation . If your Date of Birth tallies with the one you have entered while registering your profile we will give the next donors name and telephone number to the relative who need donors. We are open to suggestions for improvement of the helpline.
